Rapid Relief Team cook breakfast at Tranby

On Friday 6 March, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) visited UnitingCare West’s Tranby Day Centre and cooked a hot breakfast for over 140 individuals currently experiencing homelessness.

RRT is a not-for-profit organisation that provides benevolent relief to people in need. The team consists of volunteers of all ages, dedicated to serving the community. RRT is a worldwide organisation with teams in New Zealand, USA and Europe, as well as having 84 teams across Australia.

The Perth team are hoping to make this a regular event, cooking a hot breakfast for Tranby clients once a month. The RRT van is completely self-sufficient and was able to pull up into the car park and cook bacon and egg rolls for the clients.

It was great to see this team of volunteers eager to get involved with UnitingCare West and we look forward to working with them more into the future. To read more on this generous event and our partnership you can visit their website.
