UnitingCare West offers peer support to young people through our Level Up program.

As a young person, you probably have a lot going on already, without having to make big decisions about your future all on your own. We will support you to explore the opportunities available to you, so that you have the knowledge and skills to continue your education or get the job you want. And at the same time, you will have the opportunity to get more involved in your community.

What's it all about?

Once we’ve developed your individual plan, you will participate in a range of life skills workshops, training, and support groups for two months.

During the next four months, you will work with other young people to organise a community event to address issues affecting young people in the local area. You will also work with staff and volunteers to help run the service through work experience positions such as reception, administration, and safety.

So at the end of six months, your resume will be full with the skills you have gained, genuine work experiences, and a reference for your time with us.

How do I get involved?

All you need to get involved is to be: • 18-29 years old • Registered with a Job Service Provider • Eligible to participate in the Work for the Dole program • Living in Kwinana or surrounding suburbs • Willing to engage with UnitingCare West
