Parenting Under Pressure
What is Parenting Under Pressure?
The Parenting Under Pressure (PUP) Program is designed for families dealing with difficult life circumstances that impact on their parenting such as depression, anxiety, substance misuse, family violence and financial stress.
PUP is an in-home service for parents that delivers a practical and flexible three to six months program designed to address these issues.
The PUP program helps parents to increase positive parenting skills, develop emotional management strategies and coping skills and develop a more rewarding relationship with their children. The PUP program also helps parents to identify high risk situations and to develop strategies to keep them and their children safe.
Who is PUP for?
The PUP program is open to parents who live within the Merriwa and surrounding areas with children 0-12 years that are experiencing multiple issues such as depression, anxiety, substance misuse, family violence or financial stress.
How do I get involved?
Referrals to the PUP program can be made by yourself or other community organisations.
