What is Community Connections?
Community Connections supports people who are socially isolated to increase their networks through regular interactions with community based groups.
The aim of Community Connections is for people to form genuine friendships and the confidence to maintain community participation without support.
For people who are not yet comfortable in group situations, Community Connections offers one to one support, to develop the confidence to make connections through regular interactions with a volunteer in the community.
Alternatively there are a number of meeting places in the Perth Metropolitan area where people can connect with other community members while enjoying a meal and a chat.
Who is Community Connections for?
Community Connections is for people who find it difficult to make new friends and connections, particularly if they have recently been unwell.
How can I get involved?
We are always looking for new volunteers and members. Please contact us if you have a couple of hours a week to spare to help prepare meals, socialise in group settings, or to provide companionship to a person with similar interests.
