Whether you are working with clients or providing a support service to our staff, we have a range of benefits that make UnitingCare West an employer of choice.
As a not-for-profit organisation, UnitingCare West offers generous salary packaging arrangements that increase employees’ pay. As an employee of UCW you are eligible to participate in our ATO approved salary packaging program that can save you up to $5,000 per annum of tax on your gross salary and put it back into your pocket. Our provider, MAXXIA, is able to provide you with all the details needed for you to take full advantage of this benefit.
We also offer benefits such as tax-free meals, entertainment and holiday accommodation.
Our employees can access discounts on everyday items such as health insurance, groceries, fuel and special deals on dining out, leisure activities, holiday accommodation, movies and more.
UnitingCare West provides staff, volunteers, clients and their families opportunities for non-judgmental and confidential conversations with a Chaplain. These are spaces for listening and compassionate conversation about life challenges. Spiritual resources and rituals to mark life stages may also be arranged.

We understand that work and life can be challenging, which is why we offer a free counselling service to all our employees and their immediate families through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

UCW provides a range of specific training to ensure our workers have the appropriate skills and practice to avoid harm in the workplace. Things like Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), manual handling, infection control and more.
