Around 60 people joined us at The Platform in Perth on Tuesday morning for our Annual Public Meeting, where the focus was on the exciting journey UCW is on as part of our renewal process, including unveiling details of our iconic new central office being developed in East Perth.

“Child abuse and neglect is preventable. If we all work together as a community we can create an Australia where all children can grow up safe and well. What role can you play in supporting children and their families?”

Richard Cooke, CEO, NAPCAN

UCW is happy to celebrate the World’s Indigenous Peoples. We especially celebrate our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular the people of the Noongar Nation on which many of our services operate.

We acknowledge the Noongar People as the Traditional Custodians of this land on which we provide our services and recognise their unique and spiritual connection to country and waters.

Every week is Homelessness Week for people who visit our Tranby Centre. This year, we encourage you to think deeply about the theme, “there’s always something you can do”.

Because there is. A smile, a conversation, an hour of your time, a simple act to give someone experiencing homelessness a hand up, not just a hand out.
