Every week is Homelessness Week for people who visit our Tranby Centre. This year, we encourage you to think deeply about the theme, “there’s always something you can do”.
Because there is. A smile, a conversation, an hour of your time, a simple act to give someone experiencing homelessness a hand up, not just a hand out.
As a committed member of the WA Alliance to End Homelessness, UCW is working alongside community sector partners to implement a 10 year strategy to end homelessness 2028. Not just to reduce it, but to end it. As part of this commitment we’re looking to transform our Perth homelessness centre through our Transform Tranby campaign, which aims to transform the space to become an engagement hub that better helps people to exit homelessness and find the support they need to live a better life.
As part of our commitment to ending homelessness, our CEO Amanda Hunt will join fellow members of the WA Alliance to End Homelessness at the Australian National Homelessness Conference this week to give an overview of the 10 year strategy.
